Angels Amoung Us by Ron Rhodes
What are angels like? What do they do? Are they active today? Taking readers on a fascinating and highly inspirational tour of God’s Word, Ron provides solid, biblically based answers to these questions and more. Dr. Ron Rhodes treats the subject of Angels with fervor and fact, meticulously addressing many different points that make you want to read on to get the answers, debunking common new-age myths, and truly lives up to his title: "ANGELS AMONG US: Separating Truth From Fiction." I highly recommend his Bible-based and riveting book.
This book is dedicated to the 1,000,000 homeless children who slept on America's streets last year (1995), scared, cold, hungry, alone and most of all, desperate to find someone who cares. This book will make you cry, it will make you mad, but most of all it will put our problems into perspective. This book ends with information on The Covenant House, an organization founded by Sister Mary Rose McGeady. I could not put this book down and most of all it helped me understand the work that God has for all of us to do, no matter how small it may seem.
This is an excellent study guide. It is written in an outline form. Each book of the bible is broken down into tables to show how each chapter is divided. It gives you the place, time, theme, purpose and author. There are quite a few charts, tables, graphs and illustrations. When I begin the study of any book I will go here first before I begin the study.
If you need a quick and convenient commentary that is not written in today's modern wording, but is some what easier to understand that many early century commentaries. This book will be a great benefit. I found it to be straightforward and plain.
Life abundant--Jesus promised it and we long for it, yet few Christians seem to have it. Blending lively anecdotes, commentary, and teachings from the Bible, Stanley introduces you to the Holy Spirit. He is not an oversized electrical current you just plug into when you need additional help, or a theological concept, but just as real and active as Christ. He has personality as well as a specific job description and a definite desire to be an active part of our lives. I found this to personally be a great book. It will show you how you can live day by day in the spirit. And I did not realize until I read this book how this is done and why very few Christians practice this daily. I recommend this book highly.
